Getting There
Zermatt is a car-free village. Travel by private transportation is permitted to Täsch (about 5 kilometers from Zermatt). Shuttle trains run by the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway leave Täsch every 20 minutes for Zermatt.
Excellent railway connections from all of Europe are available in Brig and Visp through the modern Matterhorn Gotthard Railway with trains every half-hour through the wild, rugged and romantic Visper Valley to Zermatt.
Zermatt is only a few hours away from the international airports at Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Milano. It also has its own heliport with flight services provided by Air Zermatt.
